SINKING SPRING BOROUGH MAIN SUMMER PLAYGROUND (RUTH STREET)
Welcome to the Main Summer Playground Program at Ruth Street! Kids want to be outside with other kids and have fun during the summer! We are providing a place to do that! Our program is a place for children within our extended community to spend time outdoors in a supervised play environment. It is a mix of structured activity and free play guided by our leaders and the kids' interests. Our leaders are in place to foster safe play and interaction with other children. Our program is not a structured learning environment or a daycare.
The 2026 Sinking Spring Summer Playground will be 9 weeks long and will include activities, optional field trips, and pizza days on Fridays (Field Trips & Pizza are additional to the registration fees)
DATES: Wednesday, June 10 through Wednesday, August 12th, 2026
We are starting on Wednesday to ensure we can accommodate any additional school closures. We wanted to offer the full nine-week program, so we have decided to have a partial week, ending on Wednesday, August 12th.
HOURS:
8:30 am – 1:30 pm | Monday - Friday
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Monday - Thursday
UPDATED AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Lower age: Children must have completed Kindergarten to register for the program this year. We are following guidelines from the state educational system for summer programs.
Upper Age: We do not have a strict upper age limit, as we believe any child who wants to be involved is welcome.
Children of any age who cannot behave within the playground’s rules, including appropriate language and responsiveness to leader instruction, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in our program. This is determined by the leaders present. Parents will be called, involved children will be asked to leave our program, and no refunds will be given.
COST:
Sinking Spring Playground Program
* Residents of Sinking Spring Borough: $145 per child (no family max)
* Non-Residents: $195 per child (no family max)
